Let me tell you about my boat...

ST VITUS' DANCE is a 1984 Beneteau First 42. A lot of research went into choosing this boat, and here are some of the reasons I chose it.

Designed by the Argentinian architect German Frers, creator of some of the most beautiful yachts in the world, the First 42 is an exceptional boat and possibly one of the gems of the French shipbuilding industry. Developed from the winner of the Two-Ton Cup, the First 42 has naturally been endowed with the qualities of the Gitana VII : power and well balanced. With 100m2 of sail and 11 meters at the water line, it achieves remarkable speed when tacking closest to wind on a becalmed sea.

Raved about by everyone who has owned or sailed one, the First 42 was even featured in renowned yacht builder and author Ferenc Mate's WORLD'S BEST SAILBOATS.

Sturdily built for racing and offshore sailing outside, these yachts were also very comfortable designed inside for cruising and living. ST VITUS DANCE is the two-cabin owner's model, with plenty of room to sleep at least six.
